Dear Parents

We are now half way through the Term and the year, as signified by the Winter Solstice tomorrow, 21st June, the shortest day of the year.

We are fully aware of the significant challenges parents are facing with regards to the current traffic situation, which is causing delays for many returning home.  In view of this we will be changing the compulsory afternoon activities for Grades 3, 4 and 5 on Tuesday and Thursday and Grade 6 and 7 pupils on Monday and Wednesday from 1:40 - 4:10pm to 1:40 to 3:10pm.

This means that parents will be able to collect their children from school from 3:10pm on compulsory sport afternoons.  The activities from 3:30 – 4:10pm and those from 4:15 – 5:00pm will continue but will be optional. Apart from the earlier compulsory finishing time, everything else, including Day Boarding, remains the same for parents not wishing to collect earlier.

This will be reviewed every two weeks until the traffic situation improves.  We hope that this will ease pressure for many parents.

In spite of all the traffic issues we have been able to play all our sporting fixtures so far, with great success.  Of special note is our Fillies A hockey team winning the Springvale Invitational Hockey Tournament last Saturday.

The PTA cake sale today was very well supported and appreciated by all.  Our thanks go to the Grade 3 and 7 parents who brought the lovely eats.

Please note our deep cleaning, sanitising and maintenance schedules this weekend.
